Emelia is a hardworking athletic player who will do whatever it takes to succeed on the field. From a training perspective, Emelia arrives early, focused, determined and ready to work hard and improve her individual game. She asks questions and implements coaching in real time. Emelia exceeds in 1v1 defense, ground balls and IQ. Emelia does a great job of using her stick to deflect passes and make aggressive contact. Emelia has a strong desire to push herself and those around her, while also maintaining a positive attitude, making everyone around her work harder and play better.

Emelia was an obvious choice for Captain on the JV this year, and did not disappoint - on the field, practice & game alike, and off-the field as we worked to build a strong team culture in a short time this year. Her defense is excellent, but our team also needed her to shift to midfield in the second half of the year, and she was a key contributor to an important win as she and her line were relied upon to control the ball and keep our opponent on defense. She's a pleasure to coach and watch her continually develop and grow all season long. She was a major reason for our team became the best in the County this season.

Emelia is an incredibly hard worker who has continually shown the discipline and effort needed to improve on both sides of the ball. Her ability to be a key anchor on a defensive unit , paired with her overall lacrosse IQ makes her a versatile threat both sides. She continues to be a leader for her team, and making an impact now on both ends of the field and between the 30s. With her desire to get better and push her teammates to do the same, she will be sure to be a strong addition to any program.
