Recruit Profile
Love the game of lacrosse. Very coachable and respond well to feedback. Extremely competitive but fun. Team Captain. Leader in Goals and Assists for team Serious student. National Honors Society.
Lacrosse has been a strong and substantial passion since I was just seven years old. This sport is very important to me and I would like to share some of my experiences with it. I began by playing on the CT River Valley Ticks Club team from second to eighth grade, and then went on to play for our high school team, The Valley Regional Warriors, for the past two years as well as the Shoreline Sharks premier team. For the Shoreline Sharks premier team I am able to play with girls from various towns across the shoreline, some of whom we compete against in our regular high school season. On this team, we travel to different states to compete in tournaments and showcases such as Philly Summer Invitational, The Northern Rise, Stowe Lax Fest, and New England Cup. At these tournaments we compete against people from all over the country providing us with a valuable learning experience. I have grown close with this team, and while there are no captains, we all express our own leadership qualities to help create a sense of family, being the strongest we can be. With experience and opportunity from this team, as well as our high school team, I hope to play in college someday. Teamwork, effort, and unity within a team are characteristics that are extremely important to me and crucial for a team to have maximum achievement. When I was named Captain of my high school team in June I understood the immense responsibility that comes along with this leadership role. Along with this, I understand that the definition of success within a team isn't only about winning, it's about knowing that we went onto the field with everything we could give, and came off the field with our heads held high.
In addition to my love of lacrosse I have been an active volunteer since I was in 5th grade. In the winter I help kids with disabilities play basketball for the Buddy Basketball program and in the spring I do the same thing in the Buddy Baseball program. As a family we volunteer at the soup kitchen quarterly at one of our local churches. I was the youngest person to win the Beacon Award. This award honors individuals who make a difference in their communities. I am also a member of National Honors Society & Spanish Honors Society.
