Emily Monaco
Recruit Profile
Team player with the ability to use my multi-sport skills to move fast with the ball and create smart plays
I started playing lacrosse at 7 years old. I have always been a coaches favorite because I am very determined and easily teachable. I play all around the field, even when they needed me to play goalie in 7th grade. I am known for my speed and quick feet, whether its re-defending or running down with the ball. I was 1 of 2 pulled up in 8th grade for jv and 1 in 3 pulled up for varsity of my sophomore year. I am a varsity field hockey starter since my sophmore year, my field hockey coach would always tell me how much I bring the team together. During showcases and tournaments coaches would always mention to me that it's not always about skill, but the natural grit and determination that you show on the field. unknown how my varsity lacrosse season will treat me, I have high hopes. I am an active participant in my schools varsity club. I am currently signed up for APLang and APUSHistory for the coming year. I am involved in many extracurricular such as Marching Band and NJROTC, where I hold high leadership positions. In NJROTC I was at the top of my class earning many uniform medals and ribbons and being awarded with a senior level rank as a sophmore, i go into junior year now as a platoon commander being one of the highest positions in the unit. I am an active girl scout since the first grade, currently earning my gold stars which include me to be involved in many leadership positions and many community service activities. I do a lot of work with my church being apart of our youth group and being an alter server.
