Emma Muchnick
Recruit Profile
A Fierce Competitor who is exceptionally athletic. I have an undying passion to play with the spirit of the game. I am a coachable multi-sport athlete.
Lacrosse was an instant rush of excitement as I started playing for the local recreation program in 4th grade. It has allowed me to grow as a person, as well as offer an opportunity for expressing my passion to play with spirit. With honor and loyalty, I am thankful to the Rec. program, as I completed my fifth and final season in eighth grade, and have moved onto coaching the grades 2 through 4 teams. I am in my 6th season as a travel team player, who as an 8th grader not only made the HS Varsity Team, but started every game and logged more on-field time than any other player. I am so fortunate that my lacrosse journeys have allowed me to meet so many athletes, coaches, and collegiate players.
My unique lax strengths includes being a fierce competitor with unceasing athletic ability. I have an insatiable passion and undying respect to play within the spirit of the game. I relish in the opportunity to receive feedback from coaches and greatly value teamwork. I strive to be and thrive to be in a leadership role on and off the field. I am very confident at the middie position, improving at the draw, strong with the ball in open field, being a tenacious defensive leader, dodging and taken it to goal, as well as leading on the attack side. I am strong with both hands and greatly appreciate and hold highly the value of the assist.
I am a multi-sport athlete, playing varsity tennis in the fall. 9th through 11th grade I played first singles, being named All-County, All Conference, and All NYS Section 1. I have played the saxophone since 4th grade. 9th through 11th grade I have averaged about a 4.0GPA, while taking AP, Honors, and College level courses. Extracurricular activities include, volunteering with my church, at the Suffern Girls Rec. Lax program, with the local town youth tennis program, at community events, and with the Hudson Valley Swim School.
Lacrosse is my second family. It allows me to be me.
I am so excited to have committed to the University of Maryland, as this is a dream come true. I aspire to play on the national team and perhaps one day in the Olympics.

Deirdre Cosgrove
Emma is an extremely motivated and driven athlete. She works hard on and off the field. Emma continued to play for and support our local rec team, while being an 8th grade starter on the Varsity Girls Lacrosse Team.

Katherine Simmons
Even though Emma was one of the younger players in the ICE program, she was hands down our leader on and off the field. She is an inclusive, passionate, and dedicated teammate, and that only amplifies her raw talent, high technical IQ, and athleticism. We were fortunate to have her!

Christina Ferrara
Emma is one of the most talented players I have ever had the opportunity of working with. Her speed and stick skills are so advanced for a player her age. She is humble, coachable, and always looking for ways to better the team. Emma is an asset absolutely everywhere.
