Erik Mattox was hired as the Head Women's Lacrosse Coach in July of 2019.

Mattox is no stranger to the Wildcat family as an assistant coach for the Women's Lacrosse program during the 2017-2018 season. During his time as an assistant, Mattox was the offensive coordinator and the Wildcats goalie coach. He also helped bring in the Wildcats largest recruiting class in program history.

In addition to coaching at Cazenovia College, Coach Mattox is also the Head Coach for the Marcellus Outlaws club lacrosse team. During his time with the Outlaws, he has assisted players with the recruiting process and helped them find the right fit. Coach Mattox's other coaching experience includes Women's Varsity Soccer Coach for the Syracuse City School District, and assisting with FCA women's basketball clinics for grades four through twelve.

Mattox, a Syracuse native, played lacrosse at Neuman University for one season. He also played one season at Onondaga Community College and one season at Herkimer County Community College. Mattox also was a three-year starter for Lacrosse at Nottingham High School.
