For the 2021 season, I started on our varsity team as a freshman and at the end of the season was awarded offensive rookie of the year. I have enjoyed playing for many different travel teams and am especially energized by any opportunity I get to contribute on the field. This desire to gain experience, make plays, score and of course win, drives me to work hard and seek out more time to practice or play tournaments. My first exposure to the lacrosse world was at the age of 7, when lacrosse had just started gaining momentum in Birmingham, Alabama. As a first grader playing with third graders, I became obsessed with the game and was determined to play as well as the big guys. Hungry for play time Ive developed my ability to run middy and attack, and have become a very powerful dodger with the intent to score or feed to someone else who has the opportunity to score. Having a strong, accurate outside shot has enabled me to perform as a top scorer on my teams. Currently I am the highest scoring freshman to ever go through my school making it especially exciting to know that I helped contribute to our teams road to victory in winning the state championship. By seeking challenges and opportunities to grow academically, I am on an advanced track for both math and science in addition to taking Advanced Spanish and Advanced world history. Academics are important to me and I am striving to work hard in all these areas of my life.
