Finn McGuire
Recruit Profile
I'm focused, quick in the field and an empathetic leader, who coaches describe as "highly coachable", with "excellent situational awareness", and "the kind of kid you want on your team."
I began playing lacrosse in the fourth grade. Like most kids, I played all over the field in that first year. I have little fear, and I don't shy away from a challenge, so being a goalie was right up my alley. Around that time, I was diagnosed with Dyslexia. I took on the challenge of learning to read with the same attitude as learning to be a lacrosse goalie. With focus and hard work, I can do anything. Although I struggled in school for a couple of years, I have managed to overcome my Dyslexia and earn a 4.0 GPA. Besides playing lacrosse, I play soccer, I am a member of the History Club, Italian Club, and the Investment Club at Delbarton.
As a team focused player, I pride myself on being a good teammate and friend. I always give my teammates encouragement and support them. I am an excellent communicator on the field and have great situational awareness. I can switch fields quickly either from the crease or with my foot speed. I direct my defense so that they can be their best. I am a hard worker who never backs down or quits, and always look for opportunities to improve.
I am looking forward to continuing my education and playing lacrosse in college.
