Gabrielle Castonguay
Recruit Profile
I am a very respectful coachable player, who is dedicated, disciplined, and positive both on and off the field. I am also a determined player who values being on team.
I started playing lacrosse when I was eight, and when I was twelve I made it a goal of mine to play in college. I was the Conny all star for southington my last year of recreational town lacrosse. My freshmen year I was on varsity lacrosse , and was a starter for all games. I am comfortable playing defense, but am most strong on attack. I pride myself on being comfortable using both hands, and having strong understanding of the game. I love being apart of a team and it means a lot to me when a team shares a common goal. I ran on varsity cross country my freshmen year, and was the third leading girl runner for my school. I was on the honor roll all throughout high school. I want to study exercise science to become a physical therapist where I hope to specialize in sports. Outside of school I have been apart of Southington YMCA Sports Performance Training Center for the past four years. I work out there in my off seasons, and have been for the past four years. There I found my passion for fitness and weightlifting which I intend to keep apart of my daily life. My most recent service project I did was collect kids sports clothing and equipment, and donate it to Southington Community Services. For I believe that sports and physical activity is important for kid's. The way I live this belief in my community is that I am a certified youth lacrosse referee. I also was a CIT at a local sports camp in my town for three years. I am now currently employed as a ninja instructor at Southington Ninja Challenge, where I teach hour long fitness and obstacle courses to kids.
