I'm a constant learner who exemplifies great defensive leadership and communication. I have quick reactions, excellent field vision and uncanny ability to spark our offense after the save.
I started in goal for varsity all 3 years of my high school career so far. Our varsity team plays against many of the top ranked teams in the state, Ponte Vedra, Oak Hall and Lake Mary are just a few to name. I am on pace to set my school record for saves. My ability to make intelligent decisions and precisely clear the ball has been highly commended and my junior season I had an 88% success rate. I enjoy leading my team and growing other players around me. This past season, I only allowed an impressive 6 goals against per game average. I've been blessed to be coached by a long list of some of the best collegiate and pro goalies in the game. Off the field I have over 60 hours of volunteer work logged, serve in our Nease Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) since my freshman year, and I challenge myself in the classroom taking all honors and AP courses. I strive to excel and compete hard in everything I do!

Gavin matured greatly in the 2021 season becoming the cornerstone of our defense - as any high-level goalie should be. Gavin developed a keen sense of detail in the cage and now understands efficiency in his movement between the pipes. These new attributes helped Gavin to become a true stopper and significantly raise his save % which allowed us to compete aggressively against some of the top-ranked teams in the state. Gavin is a very good stickhandler that is very, very capable of effectively starting transition and clearing at a high success rate. He's come to understand what hard work is as a goalie and will continue to improve upon his strengths; quickness, stick handling, vision, positioning, etc... With another summer and full season of work and development coupled with his in-classroom success - Gavin has every indication and quality of being a successful collegiate goalie. He is a mature young man that is respectful to everyone and is an excellent teammate. He will be an immediate asset to any roster...
Chris Polanski
Very polished goalie for his age. Does a great job using his positioning and quickness to make it hard for shooters to score outside of 12 yards. His best lacrosse has yet to come as Gavin is an insanely hard worker and improves every time I see him!
Max Gurowski
As a rising junior, Gavin is a two year starter at Nease High School. Gav is a strong student with a 3.3 GPA (Unweighted). He has improved greatly each season culminating with his best ball this summer.
