Unflappable in the cage, hard worker, high lacrosse IQ, great hand-eye coordination, quick hands, leader, self-motivated, coachable, and tough.
Played Lacrosse since 2nd grade, club Lacrosse goalie since 5th grade.
Named starting varsity goalie in the 2019 preseason for Bridgewater-Raritan H.S.
Started and played every game of an 18-4 season, earning a Varsity letter.
Our 2019 schedule had us playing 9 teams who were ranked in NJ TOP 20 and 3 teams who were ranked in top 10
nationally (Ridgewood, Moorestown, Oak Knoll).
Made 134 saves in a 18-win season
Most wins by a first year Goalie in NJ.
Won the Freshman of the year in NJ (Top Freshman Award) Only freshman Goalie on a NJ top 10 team.
Our season was highlighted by a #4 ranking in NJ,
going undefeated (4-0) in the Skyland conference
Winning Bridgewater-Raritan 5th consecutive Somerset County Championship
Winning the North 2 Group 4 Sectional State Title.
Selected to Under Armour 2022 Uncommitted team

Kathie DeBonis
Gia is a tough, athletic goalie with a great mental attitude. Her stance and technique are solid as is her communication. She takes command inbetween the pipes. Her athleticism and fearlessness outside the net allow her to not only be our last line of defense but our first line of offense.
