My name is Grace Martel and I live in West Allenhurst, New Jersey. I've been playing lacrosse since I was 7 years old and truly enjoy the sport, its my favorite. I also play tennis and golf, plus surf and snowboard. I have been playing travel lacrosse for the past four years. This summer I also look forward to participating in the AU Futures Summit which will be held after my summer season ends.
I am a rising junior at Ocean Township High School. I was honored to be voted team captain by my teammates. I was our teams point leader, finishing the season with 90 points, 71 goals and 19 assists. The club team I play for is All Lax Select, directed by Megan Douty and Alex Marino. We are based out of Monmouth County, NJ. My jersey number is 11. I am a midfielder and take the draw.
Fitness, family and fun are paramount in my life. I have an older sister, amazing parents and a dog, Pippi, we have a great family. School is very important to me and I am looking to pursue a business degree in college. My focus is intense on and off the field. Being enrolled in all advanced classes and maintaining a 4.1 GPA is a testament to my work ethic. I am a member of the Varsity Club, Key Club, and am in class officers which definitely keeps me busy. I'm looking forward to my junior year and all of the challenges it will bring!

Grace is one of the most talented players that I have had the pleasure of coaching in my 16 years as a head coach. She is a humble player, who leads her teammates by example, and strives to lead her team to success. She is a true midfield threat. She causes turnovers, wins draw controls, and scores in transition as well as on settled attack. She has a keen eye for opportunities on attack, and one of the most accurate shots I have seen in our conference. She is highly coachable and works to improve her game every time she steps on the field.
