Grace Sisserson

Profile
Grace Sisserson was named an assistant women's lacrosse coach on August 3, 2021, after two seasons at Gardner-Webb University, as well as 2 seasons at Wofford College.

It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome grace into our Mercer Bears family, said Eustace. Along with her positive and outgoing personality, she brings a lot of coaching experience and championship player experience from the Big South. Go Bears!

During her time at Gardner-Webb, Sisserson coached six all-conference players. Following the 2020-21 season, Talen Francis was awarded first team all-conference, the first player in program history to receive this honor.

The six honors included four second team and two all-academic all-conference players.

Prior to her role at Gardner-Webb, Sisserson spent two seasons in the same role at Wofford College totaling four All-Southern Conference and two SoCon All-Freshman Team selections. One of the players she mentored was Hannah Mutch, who scored the first goal in Wofford womens lacrosse history and received two player of the week honors in 2018, the Terriers inaugural season.

Sisserson graduated from Big South Conference institution Winthrop in 2017, earning a degree in sports management with a minor in legal studies. On the field, she helped the Eagles win two Big South titles and make a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances.
