Grant Guthrie
Recruit Profile
Elite tier Face-off Specialist; I've played in some of the toughest competition on the East coast to hone my skills and prove my abilities.
I've been playing lacrosse since I was 8. I've been a middy during most of those years. About 3 years ago, I was asked to contribute as a Face-off specialist. I took this request as a serious responsibility. I train with some of the best FO specialist I gain access to, put in countless hours of reps, and continue to refine my technique. As a result, I started as a Freshman on Varsity, playing against some of the best athletes in the region. I led the league in face-off wins and ground balls. I've been the deciding factor in high caliber national games, such as the Naptown National Challenge. I'm an exemplary student, I volunteer in my community as a coach, work as a referee, and I help foster my six year old brother. I also volunteer at my school and help the elderly that need yard services.

Michael Schlosser
Grant is the best Faceoff man in California and one of the best nationally. He is at this level because he is one of the hardest workers I have ever seen, he cares so much about his craft and does everything in his power to be the best.

Greg Weigel
Grant is the best FOGO in California, and one of the best nationally. Grant went 86% at Naptown last year. Athletic, strong, and hard working. Great teammate. Multiple moves and exits. Very reliable stick work after possession.

Mike Messersmith
Grant has an outstanding work ethic and a strong desire to be the best at what he does. He is easily the best FOGO I have ever coached, and possibly the best I have seen play at the HS level.

Joe Sullivan
Grant has worked extremly hard to improve as a lacrosse player over the past few years. He has found his "calling" with face-offs. Grant works on his own time for countless hours each week to improve technique and skills. He is also a great youg man with high charcter.

David Gravlin
Grant is a dedicated and focused athlete, with both the talent and warrior-mentality to be successful on faceoffs. Since moving into that position a little over a year ago, Grant has developed into one of the best 2022 FOGOs in the West, if not nationally.
