I'd like to tell you a bit about myself! My name is Katharine Hadley Chadwick, but I go by Hadley. My father just recently retired from the Navy, so, our family spent a lot of time moving around the country. Ive been playing lacrosse since I was 5 years old. I am originally a defender and love to play field. However, I was asked to assist my club and Rec team out by playing in goal my last season in Florida in Spring 2016, before moving back to Annapolis, MD that Summer. During my time in Florida, I routinely played up on the clubs HS team.
Once back in Maryland, I played in goal for club, and played mostly defense and draw for my rec team, until 9th grade. Once high school started, I focused on Goalie. The stick skills and defensive field presence I acquired have helped me be a better goalie, and translated well into directing my defense during games.
In 2019, I made the Under Armour Uncommitted Team. In 2020 I was chosen for the Nation United Lacrosse program as a 2021-2022 Diversity Ambassador.
In the classroom. Im a 4.0 student and was just selected to the National Honor Society!
I am extremely loud, on and off the field, directing the defense and providing ball position feedback, and the loudest cheerleader on the sideline, usually loosing my voice by the end of the game. I feed off of advice from my coaches as I always want to improve, and I remain calm and focused when things arent going my way.
