I discovered Lacrosse in high school and quickly became passionate about the sport. I was drawn to the goalie position because it utilized my natural strengths: focus, fearlessness, discipline, and aggressiveness. The hard work and heart I have invested this year have paid off as evidenced by my receiving the Defense Player of the Year award from my coaches, my high school team leading the state in our goals against record, and most exciting so far; being chosen to represent Arizona at the USA Lacrosse Women's National Tournament as a goalie. My athleticism and diligence are strengths which I bring with me into the cage and which have helped me excel. My high school years have also consisted of competitive speech and debate, traveling with a highly selective touring choir, playing drums in my youth group band, participating in Fire Cadets, and raising 2 dogs for Guide Dogs for the Blind ( for which I received the Presidential Service Award -Gold Medal ). While currently working on my EMT certification, I also make time to enjoy fitness, weightlifting, and being outdoors. I am a diligent student with a 3.8 GPA and 1360 on my SATs. Many people in my life have helped me get where I am and I have a strong desire to give back and help others, especially my teammates, succeed.
