Heidi Rosely
Recruit Profile
Mentally tough, disciplined team player with a strong work ethic. Deep desire to win, but never compromising the value and understanding of true sportsmanship.
I have been playing lacrosse since I was 7 years old. Originally, I split time between field and goal, but when I was in 6th grade I made the decision to focus my time and energy as a full time goalie. As the leader of the defense, I pride myself on my strong communication skills. I am comfortable both inside and outside of the goal circle. I have been told before that the goalie position requires a certain mindset and I believe my mental strength and physical toughness helps me succeed both on and off the field. My hand eye coordination and quick reaction time helps me succeed as a a multi-sport athlete (playing golf, tennis, field hockey and lacrosse). In the 8th grade I was introduced to field hockey where I excelled as a mid-fielder. I went on to make the Varsity field hockey team as a freshman.
I feel fortunate enough to have the opportunity to attend a strong academic private school with an environment that supports the success and strength of young women and their growth. In the short time I have been at Kent Place, I have worked hard and achieved academic success which I anticipate continuing throughout high school. My teachers recognize my strong work ethic and academic drive.
Outside of the classroom, I have become a workshop facilitator for the One Love Foundation. I have found this work to be rewarding emotionally and mentally. When time permits, I babysit for several local families in my community.
