I started playing lacrosse in second grade. I chose defense because I enjoy shutting opponents down and team defense reminds me of chess strategy. Ive been playing travel lacrosse since sixth grade and have expanded my game to include draw taking and midfield. I love lacrosse and want to play in college because I enjoy the competition and the camaraderie of being on a team. Freshman year of high school I was the lead draw taker and won Team MVP, Team strength and conditioning award, and most aggressive/competitive player awards. I was also promoted to varsity as a freshman which was a goal of mine for several years. In addition to lacrosse, I am a varsity field hockey player and also play basketball. Im equally strong in the classroom and community. I have earned numerous academic awards in Latin, History, Science, and with the Girl Scouts.
