I started playing lacrosse in the 2nd grade. I began as a midfielder since I am fast and have a lot of energy. I transitioned to defense/LSM in middle school. I played rugby and football until this year. Growing up in Northern California, the rugby culture was strong and I learned a tremendous amount about teamwork, toughness, and selflessness from that. I attended De La Salle High School my freshman year of high school and played football there. "When the Game Stands Tall" (a movie about the program) epitomizes the culture and brotherhood that pervades that program. I carry many life lessons with me from those days. My parents moved to Hong Kong for my dad's job prior to my sophomore year and I was faced with a big decision: Move to Asia with them or continue playing lacrosse but attend boarding school. The answer was clear in my heart and I began my career at Avon Old Farms as a sophomore. At Avon, I have continued to play guitar and have joined the Model UN team and Environmental Club. I volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. This summer I am really looking forward to heading to Cambodia and work with kids in a village outside of Siem Reap.
