Jacob is a great character kid as well as an extremely dominant FO athlete. He is not only able to win face -offs in different ways and when he is in different situations but is also able to run the field as a midfielder playing both offense and defense. Jacob is closer to an old school midfielder than just a FO guy. He is willing to do whatever needs to be done with his team and shines when his name is called upon. Jacob would be a great fit for any team that is looking for a dominant Fo guy that is willing to stay on the field to run defense or offense as well. Jacob has also mastered not only knee down face-offs but is way ahead of the curve on SNG. Jacob is a great kid and a even better lacrosse player.
Graham Rouse
I've coached Jacob for club for several years now and have nothing but good things to say. He has a quiet confidence and focus that he brings with him to the field, and we can count on his ability to win the majority of the draws he takes in a game more often than not. He always gives 100%, no matter what is asked of him, and he is a great teammate, which is showcased by the support and popularity he gets amongst his fellow players. Jacob works hard when he is caught back at D-mid, and understands how to function within team defense. He is also very valuable in the clearing game, and can handle pressure / double teams when settling the ball on the offensive end better than your typical FOGO. I'm excited for Jacob to continue to raise his edge at FOs and to have more opportunities as a contributor on offense as he continues to develop and refine those skills.
David Valdez
Jacob had a dominant freshman campaign this season winning > 72% of his FO’s. He has shown significant improvement on his outside shot and sees the field really well. More than anything Jake has a great work ethic and is a high character young man.
