Recruit Profile
High lacrosse IQ, coachable, confident, motivated, humble, determined, hard-working, driven, physically and mentally tough. Passionate about playing lacrosse and winning. I am ready for the next level.

I started playing lacrosse at 8 years old and continued training to get to the level that I am at now. I am confident at dodging, finishing, faking, and passing with both my right and left hand. I am a multi-sport athlete and I have been on my High School Varsity team ever since freshman year in both soccer and lacrosse. My sophomore year I was selected to play on the CT Rising Stars and CT National Team (Team 2). Also, I was picked by my teammates to be captain for the soccer team next year and received coaches award. I am currently taking rigorous honor and IB courses while maintaining a 3.95 GPA. My freshman year I remained with second honors, but throughout my sophomore and junior year I ended with first honors. The extracurricular activities that I am involved in outside of sports and school are Diversity Club and Black Student Union. Also, I am a camp counselor that works with children over the summer. My first sport was soccer at the age of 4 for my town recreation team. I played offense and defense, but at age 8 I decided that I wanted to play goalie. I played goalie for my town team and continued playing for two premier teams until my freshman year of high school. I didnt play goalie in high school because we already had a starting goalie. I was a starting defensive varsity player until broke my finger in the third game of the season( which turned out to be a benign tumor). During my sophomore and junior year, my new coach played me a center mid. During the the time that I was playing soccer and lacrosse, I was taking Tae Kwon Do lessons starting at the age of 5. During my training, I received my black belt at age 10 and finished with my 2nd degree black belt at age 12. I also compete in tournaments around the states of Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and New York. In the tournaments I would spar with girls in my age division, and do forms against boys and girls my age. When I would compete, I never received a trophy less than 3rd place. If it wasnt 1st or 2nd, I wouldnt take the trophy home. There was a two year period where I didnt lose a fight.

One of the most coachable athletes I have ever encountered. She has an outstanding awareness of the field and those around her. If you give her feedback she will drill and practice until it is perfect. Jaeylnn is an asset to every possition.
