Jake Rossman
Recruit Profile
Coachable and high lacrosse I.Q. player focused on the relentless pursuit perfecting the position of defense. Striding to become the best defenseman in the USA.
About me, I am a 6'2" 192 lb Lefty Defenseman from Apple Valley, MN. Currently I hold a 3.9 GPA in all honors courses. My goal is to someday go to a prestigious college or service academy.
Lacrosse has always been my passion since I was 6 years old. As I have focused my efforts on the development of the defenseman position, I have been coached by many great defensive coaches who gave me a rare I.Q. for the position. Learning new techniques from new coaches has always been important to me.
My strengths are communication, forcing turnovers, 1 v 1 defense, ground balls, and clearing. I strive to be very coachable, as I strive to learn new techniques and new defensive systems of play.
While developing a love for lacrosse, I have challenged myself to play wall ball every day and I am aggressively working towards a 4.0 GPA. Schoolwork and lifting weights are also a huge part of my daily routine. Besides my strengths at defense, I am a very skilled faceoff specialist with a long pole and a very accomplished and recognized box lacrosse player.
Over the past several years, I have been honored with a number of accomplishments and accolades. My current teams are my high school team, Eastview HS, my club teams, True National 2023, UNRL National 2023, and True Minneosta AAA 2023, as well as my box teams True Minneosta Stars and the USBOXLA US National Team. I have been a proud member of the US National Box team from 2019-2021 as a defensive captain and faceoff specialist.
My 2021 awards and accolades include being awarded the 2021 All Conference Selection for my high school team, the UNRL Showcase Defensive MVP, the Adrenaline Platinum Cup "Black Card" All star selection, The True Academic Aces Showcase All Star selection, The Next Generation Showcase All Star selection, the Bearpaw Classic All Star selection, as well as game MVP in multiple box lacrosse tournaments including game MVP for my USBOXLA US National team. I am honored to represent my club team coaches in each of those events who taught me how to play the game. Thanks for getting to know me.

Jake Rossman is an elite defenseman. One-on-one he is very aggressive, and often is tasked to cover the opposing team's best offensive player. He is a shut down player and will execute any task that is asked of him (faceoffs, LSM reps, lock offs, heavy pressure, etc.). In addition to his on-ball presence, Jake is a fantastic leader and communicator off-ball. He is pleasure to coach and there is not doubt he will find success in this sport at the highest of levels.
