Jake Rick returns for his fourth year as an assistant with Castleton lacrosse and during his career as a player and coach with the Spartans.

Rick graduated from Castleton in 2010 and since has played for Vermont Voyageurs of the Quebec Senior Lacrosse League (QSLL), a semi-prod indoor league. He has also served as an assistant coach for the Vermont Junior Voyagers, who play in the First Nationals Junior B Lacrosse League, and in 2014 won the league championship. He also played for the US National Indoor lacrosse team in the Bowhunter Cup.

As a player, Rick helped lead the Spartans to their first NAC Championship back in 2010. He was named Tournament MVP and also received First-Team All-Conference honors. Rick finished his career with over 400 ground balls and is third all-time in assists with 82. He was also a four-time all-conference selection, including three years on the all-conference first team as a midfielder.

Rick earned his Bachelor’s in Physical Education from Castleton in 2010 and received his Master’s in Education in 2012.
