He served as team captain the last two years of his career. As a player, Jakob became the leader in points, goals, and assists in Northland history by tallying 92 goals and 51 assists. He, also, had the most points in a season in Northland history with 64 points. He earned two 2nd team all conference honors in the two years we played in a conference.

Wohlford began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Century High School in Rochester, MN, while giving private lessons to high school and youth students to help grow their skills.
