Varsity Captain as a Junior

Hi my name is Jamie Fardin. I am very passionate about lacrosse and have always loved every aspect of this game. I am very proud of running 2 sports camps over the summer for lacrosse and volleyball. Working with young female athletes is very rewarding for me, especially when these girls consider me as a role model. Since joining the BBL Elite Black 2023 team in 5th grade, coaches have always referenced me as player with "relentless hustle" and "lots of forced turnovers". As a Defender, I box out every ground ball and make strategic defensive clears, whether that is by passing to my teammates or dodging opponents while running down the field. I am very vocal with my teammates to help work together as a unit. I love making plays on the defensive end to assist a goal. I have improved in all of these aspects consistently year after year.

As a freshman, I had the privilege of being selected to play for Columbia High School's Varsity Lacrosse team. As far as multi-sports, I have always enjoyed playing different sports throughout my youth: softball, soccer, basketball, gymnastics, swim team, track & field, even dance. However, Lacrosse has always been my favorite! I love competing, and my speed and agility sets me apart. I think playing multi-sports in high school is very important to stay active, in shape, and conditioned.
In my freshman year I played for the Volleyball team, field hockey and (winter) Volleyball as a sophomore, now Varsity Volleyball as a Junior. I am a very strategic, agile and athletic team player.

I am also quite driven and disciplined as a student, and finished my sophomore year with a 4.8 weighted GPA. I have consistently made the Honor Roll every marking period. I am taking AP classes in History and Psychology as well as all honors courses.

I am in the Red Cross volunteer club, Cougar Nation, and Future Business Leaders of America.

When I have time to volunteer in my community, I have also participated in our local food drive, South-Mountain Reservation clean up, and charity fundraisers.
