In 2010-2011, Guy was at the helm of GCUs NCAA Division II program.

Guy becomes the head coach after five successful seasons as the assistant coach at GCU. During his tenure as the defensive coordinator and strength and conditioning coach, the Lopes amassed an overall record of 58-19. Guy was instrumental in the GCU team making program history with 27 top ten wins, two Southwest Lacrosse Conference Championships (2015,2017), three MCLA Division I Final Fours (2015, 2016, 2017), and two MCLA Division I National Championships (2015, 2017).

In addition, Guy coached 24 MCLA Division I All-Americans and three Southwest Lacrosse Conference Players of the Year. In 2018, Long-Stick Midfielder, Jack Lamey was the recipient of The Godekeraw Award, which is presented by US Lacrosse to the top scholar-athlete in the MCLA, considered to be the MCLAs highest honor.

Guy arrived back at GCU after a head coaching stint at NCAA Division III, University of Dallas from 2012-2014. In Guys two seasons, the Crusaders set school records in scoring and the teams cumulative GPA.

In 2011-2012, Guy served as assistant mens lacrosse coach at Princeton, one of the most historic NCAA Division I lacrosse programs of all-time. He aided the Tigers in an undefeated Ivy League regular season, winning the Ivy League championship, and earning a berth in the NCAA Division I national tournament. While at Princeton, Guy coached 4 USILA All-Americans, 6 All-Ivy League selections, and the Ivy-League Player of the Year.

Prior to his Princeton appointment, Guy gained collegiate coaching-experience at Grand Canyon Universitys NCAA Division II program. Guy was an assistant coach for the Antelopes first two seasons in program history, from 2007-2009, before assuming the title of head coach in 2010-2011.

In the latter position as head coach of the NCAA Division II program, ten of Guys student-athletes were named to the Western Intercollegiate Lacrosse Associations all-conference team, while three were named all-academic selections. Guys man down defensive unit finished ranked 7th in the nation (81.4%). Goalie Andrew Hunter led the nation in saves per game (16.23) and finished 5th in the nation in save percentage (62.2%).

Guy has also held the head coach position at the high school varsity level, coaching in Scottsdale, AZ at Chaparral High School (2009-2010) and Notre Dame Preparatory High School (2005-2007).
