Jeff Pechulis has been head coach of the Owls since 2014. Coach of the year in 2015, 2016, and 2018. 4x Conference Champions and 6 NCAA D3 National Tournament Appearances.

The Westfield State Owls have positioned themselves as an annual top contender in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference and a strong competitor in the New England region and Northeast.

Most recently, the Owls team has won their Conference Championship in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021 and have gone on to compete in six NCAA D3 national tournament games. The Owls have advanced to play in the NCAA Tournament second round of top 32 teams on three of tournament appearances.

The Owls team is a proud recipient of IWLCA All Scholastic team and is strongly represented with the players on MASCAC All Conference Team. We reached our highest ranking in 2021 as the #1 Ranked Team in the NCAA North Region.

Academically, Westfield State is listed as a top university in the 2020 "Top Colleges" listing of the US News and World Reports. WSU was also ranked #1 in a "cost vs quality" study of all Massachusetts institutions.

We are located in Western Mass in a beautiful college town just off the MassPike. We have over 50 majors including the top trending majors such as Nursing, Health Sciences, Athletic Training, Education, Criminal Justice and Business. Student enrollment is the perfect size with about 5500 students.

We focus on team chemistry, playing for each other and building lasting friendships and memories. We are proud of our team first approach and it shows in our success.
