My name is Jenna Gilberg and I am a senior at Eagle High School in Eagle, Idaho. I typically spend most of my time playing lacrosse or basketball, depending on the time of year and day, but when I am not I am hanging out with my friends or fulfilling school related responsibilities. I am an active member and officer of my school's National Honor Society and Student Council, where I serve as Associated Student Body Historian. I have been part of Student Council in various capacities since middle school. I like to be involved in my school and community and volunteer often. I am a leader both on and off the field and put my all into anything I commit to.
I started playing lacrosse in 3rd grade - with a team of 5th and 6th graders. I have been a Varsity starter since my freshman year at Eagle High School. Eagle has a strong women's lacrosse program, having won 3 consecutive State Championships in 2017-2019, was expected to win in 2020 (no season due to COVID) and finished second in State in 2021. I led my team in caused turnovers, ground balls, and possessions on the circle off of the draw during my sophomore and junior seasons. I was also second on my team for the season in goals and assists. My sophomore season I was honored to receive both my school's MVP and Athlete of the Year awards for Lacrosse and during my junior season I was honored as an USA All Academic and a runner up for All American. I was selected for the All Star Team and the ID/MT/WY National Team for the past two seasons as well.
During the off season I play school and club basketball, which I believe has been very helpful in developing my footwork and defense on the lacrosse field.
I enjoy school and am currently taking AP English, AP Psychology and AP History. I enjoy my Sports Medicine class and spending time working as an assistant trainer at other sports teams' games. I also enjoy my Forensics class and may be interested in a career in criminal justice or law. I maintain a 4.0 unweighted GPA and an unweighted GPA of 4.12, on track to graduate with at least a 4.3 GPA.
