Jenna Shutt
Recruit Profile
I am a aggressive goalie who keeps my composure during stressful game situations. I am a multiple sport goalie and I have nothing but determination and passion for this position!
I started playing lacrosse in Freshman year, switching off games as goalie with a girl in the grade above me. Sophomore year I worked very hard to earn the varsity goalie spot. At the beginning of the season my coach told me one of the main reasons she selected me to play varsity was my cool composure during stressful situations and my flexibility to try and learn new things. I have very solid hand-eye coordination and I am not afraid of the ball. I will do anything to keep a ball out of the net and I am not afraid to get hit. I am good at staying square to the ball and angleing. One aspect of my game I pride myself on is my free position saves. I have had multiple fourteen plus save games, and have been mentioned in multiple Metrowest Daily News articles. I helped lead my team into a deep playoff run. I also won Tri-Valley Leauge All Star my first full season as a goalie and also won Defensive MVP for my team. I am also the starter goalie on my High School Ice Hockey team. I have been playing ice hockey for most of my life. At my High School I am a High Honnors student taking many honors classes and I have a 3.5 GPA. Out side of school I am apart of multiple clubs such as Yearbook and Photography club, I also work at Loring Arena as a skate guard.
