Thomas is coming to JWU from Western Connecticut State University where she was the head coach since 2016.

Amassing over 35 wins in her young coaching career, Thomas brings a wealth of experience to the Wildcats. Her teams appeared in the LEC Tournament in three of her five seasons at the helm. In 2019, the Colonials had a program-best 14-5 overall record and advanced to the Little East Conference tournament's second round.

Prior to her time at WestConn, she served as an Assistant Coach at both Mercyhurst University in Pennsylvania and Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts.

As a Division III student-athlete, Thomas helped the Springfield College Pride to back-to-back New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) championships as a draw specialist. She began her collegiate career at Division II American International College before transferring down the road to Springfield.

Thomas earned her bachelor's degree in Movement and Sports Studies: Physical Education from Springfield in 2014 before completing her master's from Mercyhurst in 2020 for Sports Leadership.
