Jeremy Napier was named the first-ever men's lacrosse coach in Eagles history on September 4, 2019.

Napier comes to Edgewood College after spending the last year as the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin. During his time with the Lumberjacks, Northland averaged over 12 goals per game and broke every major offensive school record under Napier’s watch.

“I am very thankful to Al Brisack for giving me the opportunity to become the first lacrosse coach at Edgewood College!” stated Napier. Edgewood College has a lot to offer lacrosse players and I look forward to taking the field in 2021!"

Prior to Northland, Napier spent time as the Defensive and Recruiting Coordinator at Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina. He also spent one season as an Assistant Defensive Coordinator and Goalie Coach at national power Denison University. Denison advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament, while defeating seven other Tournament teams that season.

Napier also has coaching experience at the high school ranks as he served as the Head Lacrosse Coach at both South Lyon and Belleville High School. In 2013 he was named the MHSAA Coach of the Year, while also being named the Oakland County Coach of the Year in 2013 and 2014. Napier coached numerous players who earned All-State and All-American honors during his time in the high school ranks.

Napier played club lacrosse at Eastern Michigan University from 2001-2005. He was a four-your starter who earned All-CCLA honors as a goaltender all four years. Napier was also selected as the team MVP three times during his playing days.

Napier and the Eagles will begin competition in the spring of 2021. He will begin his role as head coach immediately as he recruits the first-ever Men’s Lacrosse team at Edgewood College.
