Jerianne Morris
Recruit Profile
Coachable and determined player. Eager to learn and work to get better.
I started playing lacrosse in 6th grade for the Trinity Jaguars. I fell in love with the sport instantly. My first coach put me on defense my first year of playing. I've always played defense until the summer of 2018, my coach for the Tampa Tropics switched me to attack. I played attack that summer and that fall season. I was on a new team for the 2019 season called the Trinity Wild, while a new coach for my rec league ended up switching me back to defense. Ever since my 2nd year of playing, I have played spring, summer, and fall seasons. In January of 2020, I tried out for my high schools varsity lacrosse team at JW Mitchell High School. Unfortunately I did not make it, but that didn't stop me from playing the sport I love. From that day on, I had one on ones with coaches so I could get better and improve to make the team next year. Summer of 2020 I tried out for the Tampa Tribe. During the summer season, my coach Jason Alvis decided he wanted me to try attack. So I switched to attack that summer. I learned so much and I enjoyed every minute of it. The fall of 2020, I played for Lax Maniax High School Select. January of 2021, I tried out for my high school team again. I made the team and had a great high school season, I started 6 out of the 15 games I was able to play. At the end of the season, I was awarded Rookie of the Year. Summer 2021, I am now playing for the Tampa Titans. Although I play lacrosse all year long, I try to coach with a local club with little girls. Lacrosse is my passion and it is one of my dreams to be able to play at the next level in college.

Jason Alvis
I have had the privilege to know and coach Jerianne. She is dedicated athlete works hard all year long on being her best. Last year she moved from defense to attack. This makes her a versatile player who plays both positions well. On attack, she works well without the ball to create opportunities for herself and teammates. Her work around the crease is what has really become the sweet spot in her game. I look for Jerianne to start moving up the scoring records these next two years.
