Jess_caught_my_eye_last_year_as_a_freshman. Her_skills_were_well_beyond_what_we_ typically_see_at_the_freshman_level_in_the_Fairfield_Ludlowe_Girls’_Lacrosse_program. Placing_her_on_JV_as_a_freshman_was_important_for_her_development_as_a_player_to obtain_more_playing_time_than_she_would_have_gotten_on_Varsity,_but_important_to_ note_is_that_the_Varsity_squad_is_deep,_especially_on_offense,_and_Jess’s_skills_last_ year_were_comparable_to_our_non-starting_Varsity_attackers_who_were_older_than_she. And_this_was_at_the_beginning_of_the_season. Through_the_2019_spring_season,_Jess_ continued_to_develop_her_lacrosse_skills_and_lacrosse_IQ_while_also_emerging_as_a_true_ leader,_both_in_terms_of_leading_by_example_and_vocally. She_is_a_super_coachable_ player_who_is_always_working_to_improve_her_skills_and_looking_for_ways_to_support_ and_better_the_team_as_a_whole. She_seeks_constructive_criticism_and_implements_it._ She_is_the_type_of_player_to_be_the_first_one_on_the_field_and_the_last_to_leave._She’s_ a_go-getter_and_team_player_whose_ambition_and_initiative_are_inspiring._She_ended_ the_year_as_our_leading_scorer_on_JV_-_not_at_all_because_she_is_selfish_or_forces_it_ but_quite_the_opposite._She_is_a_go-to_low_attacker_who_anticipates_beautifully_-_she_is_ shifty_off_ball_and_has_a_multitude_of_shots._She_has_excellent_stick_skills_and_is_a_ threat_whenever_the_ball_is_in_the_offensive_zone,_whether_she_has_it_in_her_stick_or_ not._She_moves_the_ball_quickly_and_sets_up_opportunities_for_others,_while_cutting_in_ order_to_clear_the_lane_and_continue_to_be_a_threat._She’s_a_true_ambidextrous_player._ In_high_pressure_situations,_she_was_our_girl_and_she_took_it_in_stride._And_whenever_ the_opposing_defense_would_come_up_with_the_ball,_we_could_always_count_on_Jess_ to_redefend_ferociously_and_either_cause_a_turnover_or_slow_down_the_fast_break_for_our_ midfielders_to_get_back._In_addition_to_being_extremely_coachable,_she_is_also_just_ a_pleasure_to_be_around_and_is_someone_who_is_personable._She_is_mature_beyond_ her_years_and_gets_along_well_with_everybody - teammates,_coaches,_officials,_and_ opposing_players_alike!

Jess' determination & dedication is evident in her skills. Her timing of feeds leads her to be a dominant force in assists. She varies her shots and is consistent. She is true team player and is vocal on and off the field.

Jess is an athletic attacker who is as dangerous with the ball as she is without it. She has amazing timing of her cuts and an extremely quick release. Her accuracy of her passes and her shots continues to impress. She is consistent and aggressive everywhere!
