Paulin comes to Franklin with a pedigree of coaching and developing talent at the Division III level and with a strong connection in the club world.

“Jess is exactly who our programs and our student-athletes need right now,” said Vasey. “She brings a perfect mix of technical knowledge and coaching experience and we cannot wait for her to get started.”

In her dual role, Pauling will be responsible for all aspects of both programs, including student-athlete recruitment and retention, student-athlete development, alumnae engagement, practice organization as well as other coaching related duties.

“I am excited to be at the helm of the Dean College field hockey and women's lacrosse program,” said Paulin. “I look forward to sharing my experiences with these groups of young women and apply that knowledge on the field hockey and lacrosse field. Together as a community, I believe we can elevate the success of both programs on and off the field.”

As a graduate assistant with the Lasell College field hockey program a season ago, Paulin worked closely with the goalkeepers, including second-team all-conference backstop, Sofia Rodriguez, who was also named the league’s rookie of the week three times. Overall, the Lasers went 14-7 and advanced to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) title game.

Paulin was a key cog in the launch of the field hockey program at Mount Ida College, serving as an assistant for five seasons where she was responsible for offensive strategy, goalkeeper training and film breakdown.

Since 2009, Paulin has been on the staff at Beaver Country Day School in Chestnut Hill, Mass. where she served as the head field hockey and head squash coach while also serving as an assistant coach with the lacrosse program.

Paulin serves as the Director of Field Hockey with the Metrowest Storm, where she works with daily operations, programming and oversees more than 300 campers. In addition, Paulin is a head coach for various sites around New England under the USA Field Hockey umbrella where she also serves as a regional selector.

Along with those experiences, Paulin has been the head lacrosse coach at the Gann School in Newton, Mass. and also has overseen fitness centers at Beaver Country Day and Mount Ida.

A 2012 graduate of Suffolk University with a bachelor’s degree in science biology, Paulin earned a master’s degree in sport management with a concentration in athletic administration in 2019.
