Profile
Jim Carroll begins his second season as an assistant men’s lacrosse coach at Nichols College in 2021.

Carroll - the younger brother of head coach John Carroll - spent the 2018 & 2019 seasons as a volunteer assistant coach at Trinity (CT) College, where he worked with 2019 Second Team All-America and New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) pick Scott Morgan. He has previously served as a volunteer coach at both Albany (2012) and Stony Brook (2013).

Carroll was a four-year member (2008-11) of the men’s lacrosse program at Colgate University. While playing for the Raiders, Jim was a two-time Patriot League Second Team pick (2010-11) who was named to the All-Tournament Team in 2011. Jim stands fifth all-time in face-off wins (448) at Colgate.

Carroll went on to spend four seasons (2012-15) in the Major Lacrosse League (MLL) with both the Rochester Rattlers – who drafted him in the 12th round of the MLL Supplemental Draft in 2011 – as well as the Charlotte Hounds.
