Joseph Corace joined the men’s lacrosse staff prior to the spring 2013 season and joined the women's staff ahead of the 2017 season.

Corace has coached lacrosse for decades while serving as a technology teacher since 1983. While serving as head coach of the Mahopac High School Boys’ lacrosse team from 1995-2003, he also coached the Hudson Valley Empire State Boys’ lacrosse team in 1989, 1996, 1998 and 2000 and served as the Chairman from 1995-2002. He led the Mahopac HS team to the New York State Class A Championship in 1996 and was named Section 1 Coach of the Year in both 1996 and 2000. He was elected to the Hudson Valley Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2006.

Corace also coached football for 30 years at Mahopac HS. He also served on the Hudson Valley Boys’ and Girls’ Lacrosse Coaches Associations. He is a current member of the Westchester/Putnam Technical Education Association and US Lacrosse.

Corace earned a bachelor’s of science degree in industrial arts education in 1983 and completed his MS in secondary education at Western Connecticut State in 1989.

Joe Corace resides in Mahopac with his wife Jane and daughters Caitlyn Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Lincoln Memorial University, Alyssa Catawba College, and Briana.
