6th year at Westminster College. RMAC champions in 2019, 2021 and 2022.

Joe Kerwin gets set to begin his second season as the Men's Lacrosse Head Coach in 2021 and has spent the past five seasons with the Griffins, leading the program a pair of RMAC Championships.

Kerwin helped the program navigate the challenges of a pandemic and a condensed regular season in 2021, before leading the Griffins to a second-consecutive conference championship. Under Kerwin's direction, Westminster was able to turn its offense on at the right time, netting 33 goals in RMAC Semi-final and Championship victories over CSU Pueblo and Colorado Mesa, respectively.

Westminster won its first two RMAC contests of 2020, followed-up with two more non-conference wins, before Kerwin's first season as an Associate Head Coach came to a screeching halt with a historic stoppage due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Coach Kerwin was a member of the first-ever Westminster Men's Lacrosse conference championship team in 2019 that finished the league schedule unbeaten in the RMAC.

Prior to Westminster, coach Kerwin led a University of Oregon program that went 86-30 under his watch and led the nation in scoring twice, first in 2007 (15.3 gpg) and again 2012 (14.7 gpg). After being named Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) Coach of the Year in 2007 and Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League (PNCLL) Coach of the Year on two occasions, Kerwin was inducted into the Univeristy of Oregon Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2019.

Kerwin has also spent time coaching at the NCAA Division II level with Notre Dame de Namur University where he went 16-6 over two seasons and directed the program to the second highest scoring offense in the nation in 2008 (15.2 gpg) and third in scoring margin (plus 8.1 gpg).

Coach Kerwin's coaching career began at Bend High School in Bend, Ore., where he went 51-19 during a decorated four-year stretch (2013-16) that saw his team lead the state in all major offensive categories. He was named Oregon High School Coach of the Year in 2015 and was inducted into the US Lacrosse - Oregon Chapter Hall of Fame in 2015.

Kerwin graduated high school in his hometown of Chatham, N.J., before earning his Bachelors Degree in Information Systems from Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. He now lives in Millcreek with his wife, Rachel.
