Jordyn Olivo
Recruit Profile
Coachable, athletic, physical, and aggressive team player with exceptional stick skills. Excels on offense and defense.
I started playing lacrosse in the middle of 7th grade after leaving competitive gymnastics. My brother played lacrosse, so I picked up a stick to throw around in the back yard with him, and fell in love with the sport. Two years later, I was a starting varsity attack/midfielder as a freshman on my Buford High School team and was selected to 3rd team All-County at the attack position my freshman year. I also earned a spot on the Eagle Stix 2022 Blue team my freshman year. Unfortunately, my sophomore season ended after only 6 games, but I finished the season with 20 goals, 4 assists, 21 ground balls, 21 draw controls, and 11 forced turnovers. Our team was undefeated when our season was cut short! I play both attack and midfield throughout the season, but I will play wherever I am needed. I am comfortable with both my right and left hand and catch almost anything thrown my way.
In 2019, I was selected to play on Puerto Rico Women's National team at the Pan American Lacrosse Association qualifier for WorId Games where we placed second. During 2020, I am continuing to train with the women's national team with hopes of competing for my country at the World Games in 2021.
I am taking accelerated Math and Honors science, and volunteer coach for Buford 6th and 7th grade team.
