Julia Burton
Recruit Profile
Excellent field awareness, strong defensive IQ and play knowledge, great stick skills. Very coachable, good attitude, and great communication
I have been playing lacrosse since age of 4. In addition to lacrosse I played competitive basketball until 8th grade. As a defender I have excelled on the field into a smart defender that can read the attack very well. As a freshman I started on my Varsity HS team and my coach played me as both midfield and defense, and received All Conference Honorable Mention. During my summer Club season freshman year, I was able to play up on my sister's 2016 team and advanced my skills with more competitive older players. I have been a volunteer assistant coach for youth basketball and youth lacrosse town programs. I am the HS Boys Soccer and Boys Basketball statistician. I participate in our schools ski club, and my favorite activity is snowboarding! I come from a very athletic collegiate family; my dad played lacrosse at Rutgers University, my sister plays lacrosse at La Salle University. My grandfather played baseball at Tampa University, my Uncle played basketball at Elmira College, and my great grandmother played field hockey at Eastern Michigan University. I balance out my 'sport side' with my 'creative side'. I have an appreciation for art, I enjoy science and have a love for animals.
