Julia Ravazza
Recruit Profile
Team player, aggressive, focused, coachable, charismatic, leader, hard working, hardest shot, and have a strong Lax IQ and passion for the game.
I started playing lacrosse when I was 7 since my sister was starting to play in high school. I have been playing club since I was in fifth grade, and have been with my current club for almost 4 years now. I pride myself on being not only a strong addition to a team on both sides of the field, but also being a really fun and goofy person to make my team and coaches laugh. I'm a very competitive person, and I enjoy challenging my teammates and myself to make us better together. I'm a player who works hard, but will also always lose my voice cheering on my teammates.
I've been on Varsity at my high school since my Freshman year, and I have been leading scorer all three years. After finishing my junior year, I set 3 new school records. Freshman year I had 41 of my schools 64 goals, and was responsible for 52 points after having 11 assists. Sophomore year, although cut short from Covid, I was leading scorer with 14 of my teams 16 goals in only three games. This past season, I led my team in draw controls, goals, and turnovers. I had 51 of my schools 62 this past season, even after coming back from a severe ankle sprain days before our first game. This season I was named All League First Team for EBAL.
I am a three time All League player, and I pride myself on being able to see the field. I am a strong shooter, shooting up to 60 MPH on my 8 meter shots. I'm powerful around the crease in both my left and right hand, and can create driving lanes for myself. I am comfortable dodging and finishing in both hands, and I pride myself on my speed, agility, and accuracy on attack. Being a versatile player, I also pride myself on being able to turn the ball over on defense and get the ball on transition down the field.
As of now, I am planning to major in Psychology and am aiming to play on the East Coast close to New York. I volunteer at Stonecliffe Animal Rescue, but Covid has also made our adoptions slow down. Currently, I spend a lot of my time continuing my Criminal Theory research and helping my neighborhood girls learn how to play lacrosse on the weekends.
