Justin Gordon joined the St. Mary's men's lacrosse coaching staff as the assistant coach in August 2016 and serves as the program's defensive coordinator.

Gordon also serves as the assistant director of athletic communications.

The Baltimore, Maryland native is well-versed in the Capital Athletic Conference as Gordon played at York College of Pennsylvania (2010-2013) and then coached for two years at the University of Mary Washington.

Gordon arrived at St. Mary's following two years as an assistant coach at Mary Washington. As a member of the Eagles men's lacrosse program, he coordinated the team's defensive game plan. UMW ranked in the Top 5 in the conference in goals against average during his two-year tenure, including third in 2015 with an 8.44 GAA. Gordon also coached one all-conference defenseman in his first year with the Eagles.

He was an assistant coach at the Community College of Baltimore County-Essex for the 2014 campaign, coaching two National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Americans and helping the Knights to the 2014 NJCAA Region XX championship title.

Gordon played one season at CCBC-Essex, earning All-NJCAA Region XX Second Team and All-Maryland JUCO Second Team honors in 2010 after the Knights reached the NJCAA national championship game. He then transferred to York (Pa.) to finish out his collegiate career. Gordon collected 94 ground balls and 32 caused turnovers in three years as a Spartan and picked up 2013 second team All-CAC honors.

He graduated from York in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in history.
