Karsten Nordlie
Recruit Profile
Fast, strong, physical. Tenacious rider who plays to force turnovers, great field vision, dodging, drawing slides and finding the open man. Multi-sport scholar athlete, driven to succeed.
I started playing lacrosse in 6th grade while also playing baseball and running track. I've played football since 3rd grade and was a state placing wrestler for 7 consecutive years. I currently play football as a defensive back and lacrosse as a midfielder in high school with a 3.7/4.0 unweighted/weighted GPA and have been on the honor roll every semester. My high school doesn't support a lacrosse team so I play in the spring with my local club team (Rockford Razorbacks) and year round with True Lacrosse, currently on the State Premier Team. I also play with the California Booth Lacrosse 2022 team. Being a multi-sport athlete and working with a strength/agility trainer over the last year has helped me develop quicker footwork, excellent defense & dodging skills and improve my strength and physicality on the field. I am an all-around player who plays defense to force turnovers and set up transition scoring opportunities for my teammates. High game IQ enables me to make smart and timely decisions to excel on the field and help teammates in proper play positioning. I was named a first team All-State Player for the Illinois Boys Lacrosse Association for Spring 2021 and selected as a 2nd Team All-State IBLA/IHSCLA as a Freshman Varsity Player in 2019. I made the All-Star Team at Midwest Elite Top 80 in 2020 and the All Showcase Team as a SSMD at Best of Texas in 2020. I've taken several honors classes and took AP Language and Composition my junior year and am currently taking AP Economics and AP Literature and Composition during my senior year. I have worked in security at a waterpark and volunteered at church to pass out food to families during the Covid-19 pandemic. Currently I plan on majoring in Computer Science with a concentration in Cybersecurity.

Karsten is one of those plug and play type of players. Can face off, is great at GB’s plays MDD very well and can attack from all over the field. A great teammate and is INCREDIBLY coachable. Karsten is also a great student in class and on the field.

Karsten is a "do it all" midfielder. He takes wings on faceoffs, plays man-up, is a 1 man clear, and is one of our top dodgers. He has fantastic vision and speed, one of his biggest strengths is his ability to draw a slide and find the open man.
