Kathelene Kim was named the first head coach in Quincy University history in 2018.

Kim comes to Quincy University after spending the last two seasons at Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 2018, Queens won its second straight SAC Conference Tournament Championship.

While at Queens, Kim helped lead Queens to the NCAA Elite Eight in 2017 and finished the 2017 season ranked #8 in the country. During the 2017 season, Queens also captured the SAC regular season and conference championship.

Kim coached 14 all-conference players during her time at Queens and a pair of All-Americans.

Kim previously spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Lenoir-Rhyne University, including spending time as the acting head coach. Lenoir-Rhyne finished 11-8 in 2014. Lenoir-Rhyne finished each season with a winning record with Kim on staff. She coached a pair of All-Americans during her time at Lenoir-Rhyne.

Kim is a graduate of Penn State University and received her MBA from Lenoir-Rhyne University.

Kim played collegiately at Penn State-Abington where she served as team captain. She was also a member of the cross country team.
