My name is Katherine 'Katie' Collier and I am currently in 11th grade. I started playing lax in the spring of 3rd grade and have played every spring and fall season since. I started playing club lax with Grizzly Elite in the summer 2019 and 2020. In the Fall of 2020 I joined the Atlanta Storm Blue 2023 Club Program. I played JV High School lax in 8th grade and won the Defensive Player of the Year award. During Fall 2019 season, I was awarded the Cool Award for the tournament. The tournament was put on by Southern Edge and teamed up with Cool Stick for promoting the athlete that emulates the true meaning of a team player. Someone who challenges themselves and others, on and off the field, and displays leadership and love of the game. During the fall club season, I was the captain of the team. I had the responsibility of picking who the starters were and determining the defense we played. In 9th and 10th grade I made Varsity for my high school.

I have been very involved in all sports from sideline cheer, cheer competition, basketball, softball, gymnastics, volleyball and soccer. I made the 9th grade volleyball team and was a valuable player for the back row. The volleyball coach told me she knew she wanted me on her team because of the look in my eyes. She knew I was coachable and determined to learn the game of volleyball. I made JV volleyball in 10th grade, I helped my 5th grade basketball team win the post season tournament. In competition cheer we were the overall champions in one of our competitions.

I am an A student who takes my studies very serious! In 5th grade I won the Cindy Richards Woody award given out by Cherokee County. They select students in each elementary who they feel best fit the life that Cindy portrayed. These nominees are expected to excel in academics, sports, morals and citizenship, said Kathryn Laird of the Canton Kroger.

I am also a Senior Girl Scout. I have been in Girl Scouts since kindergarten and have earned the bronze and silver award. I am currently working on the Gold Award (the highest award attained by a Girl Scout). I have also done countless hours of community service.
