Kathryn Wilson
Recruit Profile
Quick, great communicator, aggressive multi-sport athlete, coachable, and determined
I started playing lacrosse at 11. I was leading goal scorer at the midfield position in 8th grade. As a freshman, I was moved up to varsity lacrosse and became a starting defender. I am comfortable with both hands but continuing to work on my left. I pride myself on my man-on-man defense, communication on the defensive end, and fast ability to clear and grab a ground ball.I have good foot work, agility, and speed due to playing soccer from a young age. I was leading goal scorer in 8th-10th grade in soccer in the forward/striker position. Until I got moved up in 10th grade to play varsity soccer. I became a lead goal scorer as well. I'm in all honors/advanced classes and on the high honor roll. I have also been President of student government for 3 years/ was Vice President in 7th grade and was apart of a (recommendation only) leadership workshop during sophomore year. During quarantine I have been keeping up with my studies, playing lacrosse with my older brother, and working out/running with my older sister. This quarantine allowed me to reflect and make the decision to reclassify (2023) upon my arrival at The Hotchkiss School due to athletics but academics as well. With the support from my parents, teachers, and coaches I am very happy with the decision I made and already see progress.

Kathryn played varsity for me as a 9th grader. She possesses speed and quickness, allowing her to defend at a high level whether in transition or settled. Kathryn is always willing to learn and will do whatever it takes to become a better player. She is not afraid to fail.

On time, eager and always ready to push her teammates. Her speed, very quick first step (especially off the line) and compete level are impressive. Great vision and communication for team D but also a terrific ability to catch up to, move with and direct her opponent. A joy!

Kathryn was an excellent defender for our team. Her athleticism allowed her to cover top offensive players and clear the ball with ease. A great teammate with a high lacrosse IQ.
