Katie Moore took over the Pioneer lacrosse program in the fall of 2015 coming to Smith with eight years of coaching experience.

- Came to Smith after spending the previous eight seasons as the head women's lacrosse coach at Elmira College in New York.
- Began her collegiate coaching career with Elmira from 2006-07, starting as an assistant with the lacrosse program while also serving as an administrative assistant.
- From August 2005 to July 2006, Moore was responsible for skill development, game strategies, and recruiting with the St. James Independent School for Girls Lacrosse team in London, England and the Hitchin Lacrosse Development Program in Hitchin, England.
- Played four seasons at St. Mary's College of California, where she holds the single-season record for goalkeeper saves in a season (193; 2005) as well as the record for most saves in a single contest (26; at Denver, 4/9/05). She also remains third on the Gaels' all-time career saves list (379).
