Kaylen Summer
Recruit Profile
Coachable, team player, aggressive, strong Lax IQ, versatile, athletic, quick feet
After being a competitive gymnast for 10 years, I decided to start lacrosse. I started playing in 6th grade. When I got to highschool, I had to choose between gymnastics or lacrosse, and after being the only freshman to make varsity, I stuck with the sport that would help my future. Freshman year I played midfield for MOHS and was the faceoff specialist. Sophomore year however, I was switched to defense and flourished. I had 28 ground balls this season and was name the Conference Honorable Mention. I am a very fast, team player, and have no problem switching from my dominant to non dominant hand while on the run. I am very good at clearing the ball, and hold my own on 1v1 defense. I have a strong Lax IQ and excel at knowing what is happening on the defensive side at all times, my head is always on a swivel. Along with lacrosse, to keep gymnastics still in my life, I partake in the competitive cheerleading team at my highschool. I am very involved with school and the clubs in it. Sophomore year I took all honors classes, and going into junior year I will be taking all honors, along with AP english and AP history. I volunteer coaching lacrosse and still help with a fundraiser at my old gym for Children’s Miracle Network.
