After playing the 2011 season at Sacred Heart University, she continued her college career at Mary Washington University where she made 15 appearances in net and generated a record of 6-4 during her senior year.

Dean graduated from Mary Washington in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration.
