Kyle brings Division I coaching experience
to Brotherhood Lacrosse as a former
Offensive Coordinator for Providence
College Men's Lacrosse Program. During
his three-year tenure at PC Kyle coached
the Friars to two regular season MAAC
Titles, the 2004 Post-Season MAAC
Championship, and a trip to the NCAA
tournament where he coached against #1
Johns Hopkins. Ojakian played High
School lacrosse at Cheshire High School
in Connecticut where he holds the records
for the most assists in a game (9) and in a
season (61). In his senior year at Cheshire
he received 1st Team All-State honors.
After graduating from Cheshire High School,
Ojakian spent two years at Dean College
where he served as team captain. At
Dean, he set the single-season assist
record with 55 in 2000, and ranks first
all-time in career assists with 85. In the
fall of 2000 Kyle transferred to Providence
College. At Providence Ojakian was the
first-ever All-MAAC First-Team selection in
2001 and 2002 and he led the league in
assists in both of those seasons. In 2002
he ranked first in the nation among NCAA
Division I players in assists (41) and
assists per game (2.73 apg). Ojakian set
the single-season assist record and
single-season scoring record at
Providence during his senior season.
Kyle is currently the Head Varsity
Lacrosse coach at Northern Highlands
High School and the co-founder of
Brotherhood Lacrosse.
