Perhaps this is the place to be completely honest about why I'm not yet committed to a college (in December 2020). I know -- without any question at all -- that I want to play lacrosse in college. The truth is, though, that I love both lacrosse and football. During the summer before my junior year our Head Football Coach made me a Captain and asked me to commit 100% to that team. For him, that meant no lacrosse until the end of the football season. We had no back-ups anywhere so I agreed. I played quarterback in a "pistol" offense (meaning I ran the ball a LOT), and played every down on defense (Inside Linebacker). It was a very demanding season physically. Reluctantly, for sure, I declined invitations to several lacrosse camps and showcases that fall -- the prime recruiting period in my life -- because I'd promised the football Coach I would. I played in a Club Lax Tournament that began 11 hours after our final football game. I was exhausted, my legs felt like concrete, my stick felt like a foreign object, and I was embarrassed by the way I played. So I worked my butt off to be ready for the HS lax season -- and then the summer and fall -- that COVID stole. I'm still working hard. I'm stronger than ever, and it felt great to play really well at Madlax's East Coast Showcase a few weeks ago. I just need a new Coach, and a new team, to give the best I have in me to give to a college lacrosse program.
