Lane Mintchwarner
Recruit Profile
Coachable, aggressive team player with strong Lax IQ - smart, hardworking athlete with a love for the game.
I started playing lacrosse in the first grade. Currently, I am a varsity defender for one of the top 20 teams in New Jersey. I am comfortable with both hands making me a key player in transitioning the ball up-field. My most valuable assets would be my communication skills, as well as 50/50 ground balls and 1v1 crease defense. I also value my education, as I am taking 6 AP classes throughout high school, and have earned the AP Scholar Award for scoring higher than a 3 on three or more exams. I am also accepted into the College Board National Hispanic Recognition Program, as well as French Honor Society and National Honor Society.

I can easily say Lane is one of, if not the top defensive player on my team. We have a strong unit on defense and Lane was truly the missing piece we needed when she joined my roster two years ago. One of the best crease defenders I’ve ever watched play. Her ability to use her body and footwork to break down every attacker that she plays is incredible. Her 1v1 ability is not limited at the crease and she can ride out a defense play across the entire 8M. A high lax IQ and is able to predict the next steps making it easy for her to take risks and go for interceptions, which almost always end in a caused turnover. She wants to be a difference maker in ever game she plays and is always trying to figure out the best ways to adjust the defense. My trusted defender to play a backer role when it is needed. What takes her to the next level is her clearing ability. She makes excellent plays and then take care of the ball until she knows it is safe. 100% a division one player and an asset to any team!
